Should have gone out on the bike yesterday.. didn’t.. Today it’s raining again, damn!
Nothing for it but to take to the studio and start doing the voice overs for our impending podcast (my sister and I) where we will introduce our hero character “Todalie” and his friends.
I’m excited about this, we have completed 4 audio dramas but before we publish in book and audiobook form we have decided to podcast them in episodes over the next year so keep your eyes and ears open and I’ll let you know how to subscribe (please) when the 1st. Episode is ready.
They will be narrated by our good friend Humphrey Smellyngton Smythe in his own inimitable way!

So here we are!
Over the last two years, my sister Susan and I, along with her husband Vitya have created a series of stories around a bunch of characters based in the lakes and mountains of the North West of Ireland.
The stories are interesting in that they are not only in text form but in colourful descriptive music and illustrations and are perfect for both print and downloadable multimedia applications and are mainly geared towards the 8-12 year olds but also have a deeper adult message for the child within 🙂
The first two tales of approx. 10,000 words, music, graphics are complete bar editing, which brings me to the reason for this message.
We now need to hook up with a publishing agent to take this potentially huge project further, and it is quite complex in that we have several mediums to tie together.
So if you have imagination, are up for the challenge of bringing this to life, contact me and I’ll fill you with the enthusiasm that has driven these beautiful stories and characters.
This is face to face stuff, not “send me your first three chapters” so be brave and talk to me, don’t be reading about in twelve months time and saying “I wish I’d looked at that project”. Believe me, it’s worth it!
Trying to put together a short video to tell you all about our forthcoming Third Eye Audio illustrated Fairytale series. So difficult to get it into 3 mins. Help…please 🙂
This is a preview of the music for the story of “Layliana”, the first in a series of Fairytales (Books with Graphic audio and Illustrations) by James & Susan Blennerhassett & Vitya Malirsh which will be published later this year.
I will be starting a Fundit campaign shortly to help us get the first two books published. Please keep an eye out for this project and I would appreciate your help in this labour of love.
Had the great pleasure of playing on stage together with my mother and two daughters, accompanied by Kieran Quinn on piano and Ken Mc Donald on percussion at the Sligo Grammar school concert for the Northwest hospice on Saturday night at the Knocknarea arena in Sligo.
We played a piece of original music called ” A somewhat unusual afternoon tea ” from one of the forthcoming Fairytale series of books with Graphic audio and Illustrations by my sister Susan, her husband Vitya and myself. Photos courtesy of magnumlady.com
